Walking to Support the Troops / Encouraging People To Vote

Stephen Horn has been walking since April 2nd, 2008 from the capital steps of Denver, Colorado. The end of his journey will be Washington D.C., Steve stopped by Baker's Motel on June 8, 2008 which is about 8 hours driving at 65 mph from his final destination. Steve commenced walking in the early morning hours on June 9th to miss some of the heat with high humidity.
There are 3 reasons why Steve is doing this walk:
- There is a need to show support for the troops, they need to know that the country supports them even if they do not support the reason that we are over there.
- People need to look at the Independent Candidates that are running for President of the United States, they are the only group that represents change for this country. The Democrats and the Republican do not represent change in his opinion, they are the status quo.
- Encouraging people to vote is the 3rd reason for this walk, with out everyone voting we cannot truly have change.
Change in this great country will only come if we vote for independent parties and independent candidates and support independent businesses.
Change will not happen without your Vote!
